The Club de Madrid is the world´s largest forum of former heads of state who take their wisdom across professional boundaries.

Michele Wucker is President of the World Policy Institute, a New York based center for global policy thought leadership, and Publisher of World Policy Journal.  She received a 2007 Guggenheim Fellowship for her work on changing views of citizenship, is a 2009 Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum and a 2008 Young Leader of the American Council on Germany.

President, Club de Madrid, Former President of Latvia (1997-2006)
Ms. Vīķe-Freiberga served as President of Latvia from 1999-2007.  She was instrumental in achieving Latvian membership in the European Union and NATO. She was named Special Envoy to the Secretary General on United Nations reform in 2006. Ms. Vike-Freiberga was elected as President, Club de Madrid in 2013.
