Janet Bear McTavish has been creating pictorial and art quilts since 1988. Janet has won many awards in national and international quilt shows. She is also an oil painter and graphic artist, skills that she incorporates into her quilting experience. Janet is drawn to pictorial art quilts and landscape quilts, and has developed many new techniques to aid in the process of creation of those quilts, including "picture puzzle piecing," "mosaic picture quilts," and paint dyeing.
